Major Features
Minor Features
- In Tax Time, a new button makes it easier to generate the agency’s Form 1042. Note that this form still must be filed on paper. Be sure to double-check the Atlas figures against your agency’s records, as Atlas only knows what you tell it. The extra complexity of 1042 withholding seems to bring Atlas’ view of affairs out of line with our clients’ reality pretty frequently.

Improvements
- In Tax Time, we simplified Form 1042-S Author Detail Summaries. Now, the list describes all income and expenses not related to your own 1042-S as “non-1042 deals,” rather than attempting to distinguish between third-party-reportable and non-reportable (e.g. foreign-source) income. It was confusing and the extra information wasn’t helpful.
- In Tax Time, when you run Form 1042, it now includes a page summarizing foreign authors’ taxable activity more clearly after the main form.
